First Wednesday Retreats

This is a series of led day retreats on a variety of themes, run by a CANA member. The First Wednesday Retreats - held on the first Wednesday of the month - take place from February to June 2013 at Claridge House, in Lingfield, Surrey. The retreats are led by Lina Newstead, Richard Wadey and Cherry Simpkin.

Rooted in Christianity but open to the inner truth of all faith traditions, CANA exists as a safe place to explore the boundaries of belief and practice, and as a pressure group for change within the established Church.

This website was created with the combined support of CANA (Christians Awakening to a New Awareness) and the Findhorn Foundation to support the Findhorn conference gathering Into Christ Consciousness over Easter 2012. It is now maintained by CANA, and during 2013 new CANA material will progressively be uploaded onto the site.

Those who join CANA see their starting point as Christian but are open to the moving of the Spirit to seek and explore God and the spiritual dimensions of life, in a way that is open-ended and free from the boundaries that most religious frameworks and structures have imposed.
